The Janssen Building, an 8,000 sq. ft. two story unreinforced building, was built in 1875 as a storehouse and chandlery.

John Ash Group adapted the use of the building to artists' live/work space with retail stores on the ground floor.

The project also included seismic stabilization and repair of the building's infrastructure.
