Van Speybroek Residence .
Eureka, California

Scope: Constructed in 1917 by movie moguls Jesse Lasky and Samuel Goldwyn, the Hollywood Hillview Apartments was built as a housing complex for Hollywood film actors. It was one of the first buildings of its kind, housing many of the stars of the silent movie era.

After suffering damage in the Northridge earthquake, and arson damage several years later, the building was in severe need of structural and architectural repair. As the historic architects, JAG coordinated the Historic Tax Credit

with SHPO & NPS, documented the historic features of the building, and prepared construction documents for the reconstruction of historic character defining features of the building.
